Despite what we see in the news, people of different faiths get along with one another and cooperate wonderfully. As a symbol of interfaith respect, we are hosting a 5k race on Labor Day, September 4, 2017. Please join us for a day of family fun and fitness, and celebrate our diverse Montgomery County community of faiths.
Shaare Torah Jewish Community, Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and the Islamic Society of the Washington Area are partnering to create the first annual Montgomery County Interfaith 5K. Our goal is to bring together communities of faith in the county so people from diverse backgrounds can join forces to share a fun and health-promoting activity, teach tolerance through exposure and friendship and enjoy each other’s company.
We would be honored if you would consider supporting this event financially or through in-kind donations. Please visit the Sponsorship page for additional information.
